Married to Medicine's Toya Bush-Harris Reveals the Real Reason She Ended Up in Dr. Jackie Walters' Husband's Lap
Apparently, Dr. Jackie did something with Toya's husband first.
One of the most talked-about moments of this season of Married to Medicine has got to be when Toya Bush-Harris ended up sitting on the lap of Dr. Jackie Walters' husband Curtis Berry. This was bound to raise eyebrows anyway, but the fact that Dr. Jackie and Curtis have been working on their marriage this season after dealing with infidelity certainly caused a lot of outrage among the Married to Medicine crew.
Dr. Simone Whitmore didn't hold back her feelings about the moment when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this month. "Well, so first of all, Toya placed her ass in his face, which was just wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong on all levels. And again, he should not have assisted her down on his lap. It was just wrong on all fronts, bottom line," she said. "It was an interesting situation having Curtis on the trip with us, and Toya and Eugene [Harris] had their feelings about him being there in the first place. So with such a sensitive marital issue on the table, not past, not beyond, it just shouldn't have happened, period."
Dr. Simone's fellow WWHL guest Dr. Heavenly Kimes agreed. "I didn't like it," she shared. "If it were me, I would've jumped up like a hot potato. I would have never disrespected my husband like that. I would've just jumped up; I wouldn't have allowed it to happen."
Toya finally got a chance to explain her side of the story when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Thursday night (clip above). "I looked at everybody, and I was in disbelief for a moment," she said of the instant Lapgate happened. "Can I get a moment? It was like not more than 60 seconds."
However, there's a reason Toya ended up in Curtis' lap in the first place, and it actually makes a lot of sense. We'll just let Toya explain in the video, above.
It's going to take a lot more than that to end Toya and Dr. Jackie's friendship. As she did in the episode, Dr. Jackie showed that she has no hard feelings toward Toya following the incident. "I’m all good. I hope you are too," Dr. Jackie tweeted earlier this month. "As I said, I trust you my friend."
