Meghan King Edmonds has recently shared that she plans to stay with husband Jim Edmonds despite his admission that he "engaged in an inappropriate conversation" with another woman. Now she is opening up more about their relationship — and in the process, she shared that it's actually not her first marriage.
“I was too young. I didn’t even know myself,” Meghan said. “I wanted to be like my parents’ perfect marriage. I just thought I was going to have the same love story, because why not? I’ve done everything else like my parents, so why wouldn’t it work out?”
The two separated in October 2011 after four years of marriage. Meghan characterized their split after four years as “very amicable and easy.”
After the news of Jim's cheating scandal broke, Meghan told Page Six the couple is going to therapy to “figure out why did this happen and make sure that everyone is on the same page.” She also told DailyMail.com, "In a marriage when there’s a fight or an indiscretion, nobody wins if they leave. If I left, I wouldn’t win. I don’t win by staying. The only way to win is to work through it. It’s not about right or wrong because everyone is hurt."
