After the news that Meghan King Edmonds' husband, Jim Edmonds, had "engaged in an inappropriate conversation" with another woman via text message broke in June, it was unclear what the future held for The Real Housewives of Orange County couple. Though Jim maintained that the couple was working on their marriage just days after the news hit, Meghan was soon spotted without her wedding ring.

However, Meghan confirmed during a recent interview with DailyMail.com that she and Jim are very much still together. "We're still married, we're still together, we're not separated. I know my engagement ring is well known! I'm still wearing it. I've never stopped wearing it," she said from the couple's home in St. Louis, Missouri. "We're in the family home, we're in the same bed. We're not having therapy, we're talking."

Meghan said that what she and Jim need to repair their relationship is time. "With each passing day trust will rebuild, just like in any relationship that has been hit hard," she shared.

Prayer and support from loved ones has also helped the mom of three get through this difficult time. "My faith helps me with everything and I have family here in Missouri," she told DailyMail.com. "I pray that things get back to what it was like before but better. We don’t want things to be the same or worse. We only have one place to go and that’s better."

Meghan also explained why she doesn't believe ending her marriage would be the right thing to do. "In a marriage when there’s a fight or an indiscretion, nobody wins if they leave. If I left, I wouldn’t win. I don’t win by staying. The only way to win is to work through it," she said. "It’s not about right or wrong because everyone is hurt."

Overall, Meghan sounded optimistic that she and Jim can get their marriage back on track. "Jim has to go away and work and at least he's on TV so I know where he is!" Meghan shared. "I’ve just got to have faith that he’s not going to screw up. But I know he’s not going to screw up. He really wants to make this work."

Jim admitted that he had "a lapse of judgment" and said that "at no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact" in his interaction with this woman in a statement to Us Weekly in June. “Clearly, I made a very poor decision to expose myself and my family to this type of person," he said. "For this, I am truly sorry and sought forgiveness from my wife."

Meghan and Jim have been focusing on their family since the news of his indiscretion was revealed, coming together to support 1-year-old son Hart after he was diagnosed with "irreversible brain damage" and ensuring that of their children, which also includes Hart's twin brother Hayes and daughter Aspen, who will turn 3 in November, have a normal, enjoyable summer

The RHOC alums will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary in October.
