Meghan King Edmonds Speaks Out About Husband Jim Edmonds' Cheating Allegations: "I'm Sad"
The RHOC alum addressed a report that her husband cheated on her while she was pregnant with their twins.
Following a report that The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King Edmonds' husband Jim Edmonds had cheated on her in March 2018 while she was pregnant with the couple's twin boys, Meghan addressed the alleged infidelity in a blog post on Friday, June 14. In a post on her website entitled "I'm Sad," she explained exactly how she found out about Jim's cheating.
"I found out the same way you guys did: in the tabloids. I never left a voicemail for the other woman. I called Jimmy and he confessed to me that he had exchanged lewd photos with this woman over the course of several months and a physical relationship never existed. He paid her off to protect me so I’d never find out," she wrote.
Despite Jim's assurances that the relationship never extended beyond text messages, Meghan has doubts: "Do I believe him? I don’t know. Because I don’t trust him anymore. Physical or not, he still had an affair and he admits this to me," she said.
She also referenced the construction on her mega-mansion in St. Louis : "I don’t care about my stupid massive house, I don’t care about my new car, I don’t care about my diamonds. What does any of that mean when I can’t have the most basic needs met? It means nothing. Smoke and mirrors," she continued.
Despite her broken heart, Meghan is conflicted about the future, writing, "I love him. How can I turn my feelings around so quickly? How can one person decide to utterly ruin me? It’s not fair. I sob so much my face stings from the salt from my tears. I am exhausted. My poor kids aren’t getting their devoted mother. And it’s only been 36 hours."
And she disclosed that the news of his infidelity comes as one of her twin sons, Hart, may have a neurological disorder. " It’s been the most trying last couple months of my entire life and we still don’t have answers," she explained.
Jim previously addressed the report in a statement to Us Weekly, saying, "Regrettably, I had a lapse in judgment. I engaged in an inappropriate conversation with this person. At no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact. Absolutely none. This is someone trying to profit from my name. I am aware she has done this to others in the past.”
He also went on to show remorse for his family having to deal with this situation. “Clearly, I made a very poor decision to expose myself and my family to this type of person. For this, I am truly sorry and sought forgiveness from my wife,” his statement said. “I’m outraged over the intent to ruin my family and intend to take legal action. We were never having any problems in our marriage. My attorney is in possession of documents wherein this person has admitted fabricating large portions of her ‘story.’”
Jim also reiterated that he “never had any sort of a physical relationship outside of my marriage with her or anyone else.”
