Meghan King Edmonds Shares How Son Hart Has Improved After Therapy
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum's 15-month-old is making huge strides.
Ever since her son Hart was diagnosed with minor Periventricular Leukomalacia, which has resulted in "irreversible brain damage," Meghan King Edmonds has been trying different therapies and techniques to try to help him. And it seems like the hard work has paid off for The Real Housewives of Orange County alum's family, which includes Meghan's husband, Jim Edmonds, their 2-year-old daughter, Aspen, and Hart's twin brother, Hayes.
Meghan is currently in New Orleans seeking treatment for Hart, after she already spent time in California with him for another intensive program. According to Page Six, Meghan shared that Hart is showing some major improvements already, including “wanting to bear weight on his feet and legs almost 100 percent of the time” and reaching "for my hand for assistance with walking.”
She also mentioned, "He’s also calm in the chamber and he even wants to lay down. He’s not fussy at all, whereas before, he was a little bit agitated. At this point, he was in seven sessions.”
And Hart's social skills have improved as well. “He’s always been social, but he’s finding things funnier and trying to make me laugh in a more deliberate way with the way he’s socially interacting,” Meghan said. “He’s also falling asleep in his crib without fussing at all.”
Here's hoping for more positive updates about Hart's progress soon!
