Meghan King Edmonds Shares an Update on Her Summer Amid Family Struggles
The RHOC alum has been dealing with her son's brain damage diagnosis and her husband's cheating scandal.
Meghan King Edmonds is enjoying the summer — but make no mistake, the season is a lot of work when you're a mom of three.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum shared an Instagram photo of her and her three kids, Aspen, 2, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 1, enjoying the weekend outdoors on Sunday, July 14. "Lazy summer days... yeah right," Meghan wrote alongside the photo. And just in case there was any question, Meghan made sure to make clear that her husband Jim Edmonds was present but was taking the photo.
Meghan and the kids have definitely been taking advantage of the warm weather. She recently shared that while Jim was on the road with the Cardinals, her sons tried their first popsicles and the kids went swimming.
This hasn't been the easiest time for Meghan. In June, Jim admitted to "a lapse in judgment" in which he "engaged in an inappropriate conversation" with another woman but claimed he “never had any sort of a physical relationship outside of my marriage with her or anyone else.”
She then shared in early July that one of her twin sons, Hart, has "irreversible brain damage" caused by minor Periventricular Leukomalacia, adding that this brain injury diagnosis explained all of her previous concerns about her son: "the rigidity in his muscles, the (somewhat) delayed physical milestones, the lack of fluidity with arm and leg movements, the stiffness in joints, the weakness in his lower back, the somewhat favored use of his right side."
However, Meghan is remaining positive following her son's diagnosis. She shared a photo from their visit to the chiropractor, explaining one of Hart's treatments: "Starting back at the chiropractor @drmackenzierae to make sure all of his nerves are opened up so the new neuropathways he is trying to create actually have the best chance of 'sticking.' The parts of Hart's brain that would control certain things (like some leg movement or some eating skills) are dead. But the brain is beautiful and incredible and has the ability to create 'workarounds.'"
