Meghan King Answers Every Question You Have About Her Relationship and Wedding to Cuffe
The RHOC alum opens up about her future with Cuffe Biden Owens as she gets well wishes from those in the Bravo family.
Shortly after saying "I do," Meghan King confirmed she married Cuffe Biden Owens on Monday (October 11) in a sweet Instagram from their wedding day. She captioned the photo, "We just knew. Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Owens."
That wedding day snapshot came just weeks after she went Instagram official with Cuffe — and in an interview with Brides (also published Monday), she shared the adorable backstory to how Cuffe swept her off her feet and down the aisle after a short courtship.
"We connected on a dating app, texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke," The Real Housewives of Orange County alum told the publication of her connection with the lawyer. "By the time that call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours. Within a week, we were back on the East Coast, meeting his family, and starting to plan our future together. We didn’t leave each other’s side for weeks."
Their wedding was attended by those closest to them, like their family members, which included Cuffe's uncle, Joe Biden (yeah, that one). They married at Cuffe's parents' house in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
“Our wedding was about two things for us," Meghan said in an interview with Brides. "Our love for and commitment to each other, and our family—each of our families, and the new very large and very tight family that we were bonding together by getting married. That’s it."
The date also holds a special meaning. "When we realized that Cuffe’s parents’ wedding anniversary—October 11—was a holiday Monday, we both knew exactly what we were going to do, where we were going to do it, and how we were going to do it," Meghan said. "It’s a beautiful thing to see eye-to-eye with each other as we do."
Not only was Cuffe's mom, the president's sister and advisor Valerie Biden Owens, and sisters integral in helping plan the nuptials, but Meghan's three kids, Aspen, Hart, and Hayes, also had a special role in their big day serving as the wedding party. “We told the kids they could walk down the aisle with me if they wanted to and Aspen said she wanted ‘to throw flowers at me,’" Meghan said. "So it was decided she would be the flower girl!"
Since sharing her big news with the world, Meghan has been getting plenty of well wishes from those in the Bravo family. Tinsley Mortimer, Shannon Storms Beador, Tamra Judge, Gretchen Rossi, Lizzie Rovsek, and Stephanie Hollman, were among those who left her messages of love in her comments on Instagram.
Next, the newlyweds plan to have their honeymoon at Glacier National Park.
This is the third marriage for Meghan. Her second marriage was to Jim Edmonds. They announced their divorce in 2019 after three kids and five years of marriage.
