The publication notes that in late February, Melissa took to Instagram Stories, noting she never meant to imply that Kyle was taking any prescription to aid in the journey: “I said she looks so amazing that I thought she was!! But she has totally confirmed that she’s not! The girl is working for it. Give the lady some credit! We are laughing at all of this! We are good."
For her part, Kyle also commented on the drama, also on Instagram, per Page Six, sharing, "She assumed I was but then texted an apology to me.”
Kyle Richards on Her Weight Loss and Fitness Journey
Kyle has been open about her recent fitness journey and weight loss. She's also been candid about how choosing to live a sober lifestyle has changed her body and her viewpoint. In a December 2023 interview with Us Weekly, Kyle detailed her motivation for her recent weight loss and as well as amping up her fitness game.
"I had a breast reduction [in 2022], and I wasn’t able to work out for eight weeks," Kyle shared with the outlet. "At the time, I was on vacation in Europe, eating pasta and drinking wine and cocktails. By the end of the trip, I didn’t recognize myself. I had also just lost my best friend to suicide, and I wasn’t taking care of myself. And [it was] making me feel more depressed. So after we left, I said, 'That’s it. I’m not going to have bad carbs — no sugar, no pasta, no bread, no alcohol. And I’m going to work out every single day.'”
She also noted that amid changes in her personal life, her fitness journey is really about her. "[My body is] certainly not meant to be a revenge body. It’s meant to be an I-feel-good body," Kyle told the publication. She added: “When I was younger, I used to work out to lose weight. "Now it’s for me — first and foremost, my mental health. The fact that it makes me look good is just a bonus.”
