Melissa Gorga Reveals Why Antonia Gorga Wasn’t at Her Holiday Family Outing
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mother opened up about her daughter's absence from a festive family affair.
Melissa Gorga is soaking up the 2023 holiday season family-style. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom recently shared photos from a festive outing in New York City with her cousins, noting: "They are my world! Love making memories with them year after year." Later, she shared photos from iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball, which was also a family affair — minus one very important family member.
Though Melissa's husband, Joe Gorga, and her two sons Gino and Joey joined her for the star-studded event, Antonia Gorga did not appear in the photos. In her caption, the Envy Boutique owner explained why her daughter was not at the musical happening this year. Keep reading to see why!
Why Antonia Gorga Wasn't with Her Family for a Recent Holiday Celebration
In the caption of her December 9 post, Melissa wrote: "[I] always take [Antonia] to [the Jingle Ball] every year. She had an exam and couldn’t come." Melissa added a teary-eyed emoji to show how much she missed her University of Delaware freshman, who moved onto campus this past August.
On the flip side, Melissa was able to enjoy her time at the concert — and had a fabulous outfit, to boot. The fashion-lover was clad in a silky, royal blue outfit that she paired with sparkling high heels and a braided hairstyle. Even though she missed her daughter, Melissa noted in her December 9 post that she was: "so happy to take my boys and make memories with them."
Plus, Melissa and her crew got to spend some time with Andy Cohen, who introduced Cher at the Madison Square Garden event!
Melissa Gorga's Update on Antonia Gorga's College Life
After helping Antonia get settled in her dorm room this past summer, Melissa has shared frequent updates on her daughter's life as a college student.
During the "In a Jersey State of Mind" panel discussion at BravoCon 2023, moderator Jerry O'Connell asked Melissa what it's like being the only woman at home. “Even my dog, Nico, is a boy as well,” she said. “So, there’s no girls in the house anymore. I miss [Antonia], of course.”
The RHONJ mom also provided an update on how Antonia is doing in college. “She’s thriving. She’s doing amazing. She loves college,” Melissa proudly shared.
The mama of three continued: “Thank God Antonia has a great head on her shoulders. She’s a good kid, and she’s doing really, really well.”
