Melissa Gorga Gives an Update on Her Daughter, Antonia’s, College Life: “She’s Thriving”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom shared new details on her daughter’s college journey.
It’s been nearly three months since Antonia Gorga left the Garden State to start her freshman year at the University of Delaware. And even though she’s hundreds of miles away, that doesn’t mean her parents, Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga, still aren’t keeping an eye on their daughter.
In fact, The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom frequently takes to social media to share timely updates on Antonia, like showing what laundry day looks like for the 18-year-old to give a peak at their hilarious text thread. Joe has even taken to Antonia’s Instagram comments on October 1 post to make sure she’s staying on top of her schoolwork.
Most recently, the mom-of-three revealed what it’s like not having her eldest child at home and shared how Antonia is adjusting to college at BravoCon 2023. Read on for details.

During the "In a Jersey State of Mind" panel discussion on Saturday, Nov. 4, Melissa was asked by moderator Jerry O'Connell what it's like being the only girl in her family's Franklin Lakes home. “Even my dog, Nico, is a boy as well,” she said. “So, there’s no girls in the house anymore. I miss [Antonia], of course.”
Melissa may still be adjusting to not having her daughter around as much, but Antonia seems to have no issues living in a different state away from her loved ones. Additionally, during the panel chat, the RHONJ mom provided an update on how Antonia is doing in college. “She’s thriving. She’s doing amazing. She loves college,” Melissa admitted.
The mama bear continued: “Thank God Antonia has a great head on her shoulders. She’s a good kid, and she’s doing really, really well.”

While it seems like Antonia is having a blast at college, her parents got to experience the routine of their daughter when they attended the annual “family weekend.” Last month, Melissa and Joe took a road trip to Delaware to visit Antonia to dabble in all the parent-friendly festivities, and you better believe they documented it.
A few activities from their weekend trip included visiting Antonia’s dorm, taking her to dinner, and even tagging along to a fraternity party. What’s more, it appeared that the Delta Chi fraternity brothers were ecstatic to hang out with Joe as he was seen in a photo holding a championship belt with the frat’s Greek letters on it.
