In a series of Instagram Stories posted on March 24 and 25, Melissa shared a look at their homeschool situation. Melissa also posted two screengrabs of the lesson one of the kids was working on, but later joked that she’s taking the curriculum into her own hands, and teaching the kids about something else.

“Homeschool day 4: forget about the War of 1812, today we are learning about the East Coast/West Coast war of 1996,” read a meme Melissa posted on her Story, which included a side by side photo of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.

All jokes aside, Melissa actually is a certified elementary school teacher, which she revealed during an episode of the Season 9 After Show

“I’m certified K-3,” Melissa explained. “When I graduated college, I got hired for a third grade classroom. You know, [Joe] was kind of persuading me to not accept the job. He was like, ‘We don’t need you to go to work, and when I want to go on vacation, you don’t need to have a boss telling you you can’t.’ And I was like, ‘OK you know, you’re right, we’ll grow our business.’”
