Melissa Gorga went into Season 10 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey ready to kick off her next chapter. She turned 40 (clip above) and was also considering expanding her family. Fans will get to see more of that journey as the season progresses, and when Melissa recently spoke to Parade, she opened up about how supportive husband Joe Gorga was as she was weighing her baby options.

"I just think that when turning 40, you get to the point where you’re not sure if you’re even going to be able to have another child. And you want healthy kids. And I know I have three healthy ones now. So I always went back and forth contemplating. It was Joe who was like, 'Do we want another baby?'" she told the publication. "We always said we wanted another girl just because I always wanted Antonia to have a sister. And then I think just turning 40, I was kinda like, 'All right, it’s now or never. And so let’s explore this and see if it’s even possible.'”

Melissa added that she and Joe did take some steps to see if more kids would be an option for them. "A lot of that’s gonna come through on the show so I can’t say too much, but we did go to the facility and we met with the greatest doctor. He checked out my insides, he checked out Joe, and we’re going to get all the results from that. You’re going to see us get all the results from that, which are kind of shocking and funny. I want to say that I got some really positive good results from that," she said. "I know they showed that already that he said I’m totally fine, I’m ready to go. And now we are waiting for Joe’s results."

For now, Melissa is a very proud mom to three adorable kids: Antonia, Gino, and Joey.
