"My wife had a ton of complications. She was in surgery for like five hours. They didn't tell me nothing. But they're amazing at Cedars. They saved a life," he noted. As of press time, he continued in the video posted to Instagram, that "she's still in ICU. She still hasn't held her baby yet. That should probably happen later today though."

As for baby Shams, the proud pop noted he "is looking great. He couldn't be happier." By the way, Tommy confirmed that the newborn is "gorgeous."

MJ originally said she was due closer to Mother's Day, but gave birth via C-section early Wednesday morning in Los Angeles. And while she's recovering, Tommy noted that they have his son "in a tanning bed now with glasses on, no joke. A day old and already in a tanning bed. He couldn't be more like his mother if he tried. She went spray tanning before we went to the hospital!"

The pregnancy, like the delivery, wasn’t always easy for the Shahs of Sunset mom, who was put on bedrest along the way following a miscarriage scare. However, in the weeks leading up to the baby’s birth, MJ shared an update on how she was feeling in the wake of the ups and downs along the way:

"Feeling overwhelmed with excitement, gratefulness, and hopeful about what lies ahead. The nurse staff at [the hospital] makes me feel like we’re in such good hands, and right at home. I’m so grateful to [my doctors] and the whole team at [the office]. My husband and I are very grateful and hopeful and appreciative of this journey and what is to come.”
