Michael Kopech has filed for divorce from Riverdale actress Vanessa Morgan, who is currently expecting the couple's first baby. In documents obtained by The Chicago Tribune, the pro baseball player filed for divorce on June 19, just several months after the couple married in January.
The news of their split comes about a year after he popped the question on July 4, 2019. Michael and Vanessa began dating in June 2018 after meeting on social media, according to E! News.
The headlines about their separation come just days after Vanessa confirmed that she is expecting a baby boy. The baseball player is the father of the child, a rep for the actress told E! News. The White Sox pitcher has yet to comment on the baby news.
Michael is known to Bravo fans for once dating Don't Be Tardy's Brielle Biermann; he appeared on the show during their relationship.They dated for about two years before breaking up in 2018.
