Mike Hill Has a New Job: Find Out Where You Can Watch Cynthia Bailey's Husband Next
The Real Housewives of Atlanta husband just shared some really big news about his career.
We're sending out a major congrats to Mike Hill, who just announced the news of his new job. The Real Housewives of Atlanta husband confirmed on Instagram that he will be joining the Black News Channel and hosting a show there beginning next month.
Cynthia Bailey's life partner shared the exciting news of the gig on Instagram: "We got next!! Here’s what’s new in my world. Happy [and] honored to be a part of this new network @bncnews and team. Hope you’ll 'Start Your Day' w/ @sharonreedlive [and] Mike starting 6a[.m.] in March," he wrote, along with the hashtags #MorningShow and #fortheculture.
Mike spoke to The Wall Street Journal about his new chapter in which he noted that his career as a sports on-air personality didn't give him the chance “to use my voice in a way in which I feel like it’s necessary right now.”
“The world is changing…I know BNC gives me that platform," he explained to the WSJ. “It’s rare that you see an expansion team get superstars right out of the gate,” he added about the recently-launched network.
Mike opened up about leaving the Fox Soul network on Instagram earlier this month. In the post, he reflected on his time there, writing, "Every past adventure in life is a blessing [and] lesson learned to prepare you for your future. For my professional life, @foxsoul has done just that. The time I’ve spent at this remarkable streaming network has been incredible and full of lessons. However, it’s time for me to move on to my next chapter. Therefore, I have left my role as co-host of Choppin it Up w/ Mike and Donny. This was a very hard decision to make but I’m moving on for another great opportunity with a network, which I’ll be announcing in the very near future.
He added, "I’m very grateful to Fox Soul for giving this 'sports guy' the chance to expand my resume and allowing me to live my dream of being a talk show host. It’s been an unbelievable experience and one that allowed people to see me in a different light. I grew and I learned a lot. I’m forever grateful for that."
Mike concluded the message by sharing, "Please continue to support the network. Everyone there is working really hard to bring you programming that WE can be proud of. Stay tuned for what’s next from them and from me."
Cynthia showed her support in the comments, "Amazing memories, amazing journey."
Over the course of his career, Mike has worked on-air at ESPN and Fox Sports, among other networks. He released his memoir, Open Mike, in 2020.
