On November 17, Morgan revealed that she was about to undergo surgery. "[Pre-op]," she wrote on Instagram, captioning a photo of herself in a baseball cap and what appeared to be a hospital gown. She continued: "Double Mastectomy & reconstruction up next. Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes. One more sleep and one last chest workout before I take care of business."

She included a hashtag that spelled out RAD51D, which refers to an inherited mutation she recently discovered that may put her at increased risk for devloping breast cancer. "I’ll go in depth later, but I was diagnosed with the RAD51D gene a while back," she had shared in a May 2023 Facebook post. "In November I’ll undergo a double mastectomy as a preventative.”

By November 21, Morgan was out of surgery and returned to Instagram to share an update. To caption a photo of herself looking cozy, with a fuzzy blanket in her lap and a sparkling Christmas tree behind her, the singer wrote: "I’m recovering and got out of my room today. Was hoping to get my drains out — but gotta wait another week. Baby steps right now, but very grateful for the wonderful folks taking care of me."

Morgan Wade Reveals Her Tourette's Syndrome Diagnosis

Over the summer, Morgan revealed another diagnosis. "Keeping this short and sweet," she began her candid June 29 post. "If you see me shaking my head a lot I have Tourette's. Some folks genuinely ask— others like to troll me, [it] is what it is. I make weird faces sometimes and my head shakes. So just think before you judge."

Morgan Wade's Groin Injury

Earlier this month, Morgan shared some details about an injury that threw a wrench into her racing plans.  In a November 6 Instagram post, the country crooner opened up about her "ultra running."

"Trained all year for this race. But my body had other plans," she wrote. "Ended up pulling my groin around mile 24. Went 16 more miles and had to drop. Not what I planned — but that’s ultra running. I ran until I couldn’t, and walked until I couldn’t do that."

She added: "I could sit around [complaining] but I have work to do. Thankful for my wonderful crew that helped me out this weekend. Back to square one with some more knowledge and after my surgery I’ll be back at it and I’ll get my 100 miles in 2024."

Morgan Wade's songs and music

In 2023 dropped her sophomore release, Psychopath. The album includes the track “Fall in Love with Me" (Kyle Richards appears in the video for the song).

Morgan has spent much of the year touring and will tour with Alanis Morissette on her The Triple Moon Tour, along with Joan Jett. The tour kicks off in 2024.
