Olivia Flowers Shares a Life Update After a Year that Was "Not" Her "Favorite"

The Southern Charm cast member took to Instagram to reflect on the past after a difficult year and reveals what she's "grateful" for.

In 2023, Olivia Flowers experienced many ups and downs in her friendships and romantic relationships, among other things. To say the past year has been difficult for the Southern Charm cast member would be an understatement. However, as a new year kicks off, the Charlestonian is taking a beat to acknowledge what she's grateful for as she looks to 2024.

In an Instagram post from December 31, Olivia shared a peek into her current life with a carousel of candid photos. She also wrote a heartfelt caption that revealed what's kept her afloat during difficult times, including shifts in her friendships which have been in the middle of the drama of Season 9 of Southern Charm as well as the loss of her brother, Conner.

Olivia Flowers shares a life update on New Year's Eve after emotional 2023

In her New Year's Eve post, Olivia shared photos of herself relaxing with friends on a picturesque dock and posing with her gorgeous, lookalike mom. Other snaps showed her celebrating a friend's wedding, enjoying a boat day, and hanging out with her parents (AKA her "roommates"). 

In the caption, Olivia wrote: "2023 was not a favorite, but it certainly brought me closer to mine. Grateful for my day ones [and] all the love you brought this year."

Olivia Flowers reflects on the passing of her brother, Conner 

After Conner passed away last year, his grieving sister sat down for an emotional interview with Vanderpump RulesScheana Shay for an episode of her Scheananigans podcast.

Olivia said that, following the loss of her brother, she found herself in "emotional cruise control." She added:  "It's been rough. My world just feels like it's completely upside down at the moment."

Olivia previously posted about Conner's death on Instagram to commemorate his birthday. Her touching tribute post read: 

"I’ve been avoiding the post and anything else that makes losing you our new reality…but I want to wish you a Happy Heavenly Birthday Conner. Mom, Dad, and I love you. here on earth, we are missing you #33," she wrote last February. "Thank you to all those who have reached out and been so helpful during this time. To be surrounded by those who knew and loved Conner all week was a gift in itself. We are so grateful for all your messages - please know they haven’t gone unseen."

In another tribute to Conner, Olivia opened up more about her beloved brother. "What a blessing it has been to be the sister of such a beautiful, tender-hearted soul with the soft-spoken voice to match. He led every interaction with that big heart of his. Catching everyone’s eye with his fashion sense. I don’t know what this life will be without you. It’s always been you and me," she wrote. "I can only hope I continue to be known forever as 'Conner’s little sister' the three of us will keep looking up at you."
