Paige DeSorbo Was *Not* Expecting Craig Conover to Say This About Proposing
After Craig revealed that he would propose by Thanksgiving 2023, Paige shared her thoughts on his timeline.
Wedding bells may not exactly be ringing for Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo as soon as fans expected.
When the Southern Charm cast member appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in November 2022, he revealed that he would be proposing to his girlfriend within a year.
After teasing that he was targeting a Thanksgiving 2023 engagement, Craig changed his answer — and he moved the timeline up. “Hopefully,” he said, “it’ll be before Thanksgiving.”
While it seemed like the Charm-er was looking to pop the question sooner rather than later, his girlfriend wasn’t exactly on the same page (pun intended).
When Paige found out what Craig said on WWHL, she confronted him about his answer.
“After, I called him and was like, ‘Why would you say that?!’” she recalled during a chat with Page Six. “He was like, ‘Honestly, I got so nervous…’”
Paige said that her beau “rambled for 20 minutes” about how he gave that answer instead of saying he “didn’t know” because he was concerned that people would then question his love for Paige.
“The whole November thing, I think he literally pulled that out of thin air,” Paige continued. “The man can’t be trusted.”
It may be a while before the Winter House castmates take that next step, but the two have already thought about what their future wedding will look like. Back in May 2022, the couple answered fan questions for BravoTV.com, and they revealed that they have drastically different visions for their wedding day.
“We don’t agree on anything,” Paige admitted. “Not a single thing.”
“Not even close,” Craig said, before adding that his “dream wedding” would be “in the Bahamas on a beach.”
“I want mine to literally be the Met Gala,” Paige said about her ideal day. “Like, I want it to be so black tie that people are scared about it, and I just want it to be regal and at some castle somewhere.”
As Craig joked, maybe the two can “find a castle on an island somewhere” after he does decide to propose.
