Paige DeSorbo Posts a Makeup Free Selfie to Remind Fans "No One Has Perfect Skin"

Paige DeSorbo is keeping 100 about the realities of skincare.

On Friday, February 2, the Summer House cast member returned to Instagram to share an honest look at her very relatable skin woes. She posted a makeup-free selfie in which she revealed an acne breakout that went from her temples, across her cheeks, and down to her chin.

Although such blemishes could've easily caused frustration, Paige made it clear she wasn't the least bit distressed. In fact, she used the moment to remind fans there was no such thing as “perfect skin,” despite what others might say.

“Real life skin pic for my little gigglers who follow me,” she captioned the empowering Instagram Story. “Never be stressed by your skin, no one has perfect skin, they are lying.”

Minutes before she shared the selfie, Paige posted a photo of Dr. Dennis Gross’ New York City office. The picture showed shelves of the dermatologist’s skincare offerings, including anti-aging light masks, repair serums, daily peel pads, vitamin C creams, and cleansing gels.

“My religion,” Paige captioned the photo.

The Summer House cast member began going to Dr. Gross back in 2022 and documented her first office visit via Instagram. Paige said she was dealing with a lot of sun damage at the time and would receive monthly laser treatments to tighten her skin and reduce fine lines. 

“Okay about to post my new dermatologist and skin regimen, disclaimer – I’ve never had Botox or filler or plastic surgery,” she wrote in a 2022 Instagram. “I’m not against it whatsoever[.] I will get Botox at some point but I want to stay as natural as long as I can. So this is my new regimen.”

Paige later revealed her go-to skincare products, including a cleansing gel, wrinkle treatment, moisturizer, and sunblock.

In the months leading up to her Dr. Gross appointment, the New York native shared her thoughts on unrealistic beauty standards and explained how she was using her platform to dispel them.

“I feel like recently I get so many more [direct messages] from girls in high school and college,” she wrote in an Instagram, which highlighted her glam transformation with before-and-after photos. “The top picture is a team of professionals doing my hair and makeup and the bottom picture is [me] a few hours prior. Just because people looked airbrushed on TV and Instagram it’s important to know that’s not real.”

She continued: “Never compare yourself to what you see on the internet, half the things I read about myself are not even true. I think it’s important for me to show these pictures because I have so many young girls who follow me and I would never want them feeling insecure or comparing themselves to other women on the internet.”
