What Makes Patricia Altschul's Home So Swanky? Landon Clements Explains

The #SouthernCharm pal reveals all about the Charleston matriarch's mansion.

By Jocelyn Vena

For three seasons, viewers have been taken inside Patricia Altschul's enviable mansion on Southern Charm. And if it's left you completely awestruck, you're not the only one. The posh pad is also a favorite of Landon Clements, who appreciates the home only not only for its aesthetic value but also for its storied history.

"Well, Patricia's home I actually studied in school. Before she had it, they used it as a hospital during the Civil War and then it became a library and then a family owned it before Patricia and that's who turned it back into a private residence," Landon shared with The Daily Dish, before giving Patricia's luxe decor her stamp of approval. "What she's done with the place is absolutely stunning."

And just like the home she lives in, Landon described the Southern Charm matriarch as "fabulous."

Speaking of fabulous, if you're looking for another posh pad to visit during any upcoming trips to Charleston, Landon offered up this lavish home as another must-see. "Another one of my favorite properties is Boone Hall Plantation. It's not downtown. When I was in college, that's where the horses I trained were," she said. "I have a really special connection with Boone Hall as well."

Actually, The Notebook fans also have a connection to it. Parts of the movie where filmed at the beautiful spot — and it's even available for weddings. Boone Hall also served as the location for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' 2012 nuptials, according to People. Not too shabby of a pick, Landon!
