The ex-husband of The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks has left FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey and has been moved into a halfway house in Philadelphia where he is expected to stay until the middle of October.

Apollo began his eight-year prison sentence for fraud and identity theft in 2014. However, it was reported in March 2019 that a federal judge had signed off on an order to reduce his prison sentence from 96 months (eight years) to 84 months (seven years). He was then scheduled to be released in August 2020 and then be put on probation for several years thereafter, according to The Blast.

Apollo's legal troubles were documented on RHOA while he was still married to Phaedra. The couple wed in 2009, but Phaedra later announced her plans to divorce Apollo in 2014. They reportedly reached a divorce settlement in 2017.

Still, Apollo started looking toward the future while he was in prison. He got engaged to Sherien Almufti in 2016. She later made an appearance in Season 9 of RHOA.

Phaedra, who has two sons with Apollo — Ayden, 9, and Dylan, 6 — wished her ex-husband well as he neared the end of his prison sentence during an interview with PEOPLE in January. “We have two beautiful sons together,” she said. “I’ll always be grateful for that. I’m hoping he will get married to whomever he is engaged to, honey, and he will be out of my hair.”
