Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams Hope Their "Anti-Tinder" Dating App Will Help You Find Love
These #RHOA ladies are single and want to help you mingle.
Frick and Frack are taking their love lives into their own hands. Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams are launching a dating app, Page Six reported on Wednesday. “[Porsha] and I are both single, and we want to be able to use not just our personal resources, but the world wide web to find possible solutions for single women," Phaedra told Page Six.
Newly single Phaedra revealed that she had finalized her divorce from husband Apollo Nida during an interview with TMZ's Raq Rants in November. We've seen Porsha back in the dating game on The Real Housewives of Atlanta since she and her ex-husband, Kordell Stewart, split in 2013. This season of RHOA, Porsha has been getting friendly with her pal Todd while considering searching for sperm donors to start a family of her own.
Phaedra told Page Six that she hopes people will use the dating app as a way to start serious relationships. She's even dubbed it the "anti-Tinder." “We want ours to be centered on people who really want to be in committed relationships. It’s not even going to be available for people who are under 25, because we feel like if you’re under 25, you’re probably not really focused on committed, serious relationships,” she said. “We want people that are interested in lifelong commitments, not just hookups.”
Once the currently-untitled dating app launches, which is set for sometime in 2017, Phaedra said they're planning on organizing social events where users can meet up in the real world in a group setting. She also said she hopes to make the app available to users in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and of course, Atlanta.
Ultimately, the goal of the app is to make it a little easier for busy people to find love. “I come into contact with so many women who want to be married, and men, who want to be married and have children, but if you are a professional and have a strong work ethic, you don’t have a lot of time to meander through the city looking for the one,” Phaedra explained. “I think our dating app is going to help you sift through the weeds to find a flower.”
But now we're not so sure that Phaedra even needs to use a dating app to find a guy since she and actor Shemar Moore shared a passionate kiss in the Bravo Clubhouse during Sunday night's Watch What Happens Live. Relive the steamy moment, below.
