Porsha Williams Released Following Arrest at Breonna Taylor Protest
The RHOA activist was arrested on July 14 in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams has been released after being arrested on Tuesday, July 14, while protesting at the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron on behalf of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky.
According to TMZ, the Louisville police department confirmed that Porsha was among 87 people who were arrested and charged "due to their refusal to leave the property and their attempts to influence the decision of the Attorney General with their actions."
Porsha posted about being released on Instagram in the early hours of July 15. "It was my pleasure! I love you and as always praying for you Ms.Tamika Palmer (Mother of #BreonnaTaylor ) Ps: Thank you for waiting on us to get out! It was heart warming exiting and seeing your family.It was an honor @tamikadmallory," Porsha wrote on Instagram.
According to NBC News, Taylor was in her apartment when she was shot and killed by Louisville police on March 13. An investigation is currently underway. The EMT would have turned 27 last mont. At the time Porsha and Lauren attended a Say Her Name March in Atlanta in honor of the Black women who have died at the hands of police officers, including Taylor.
