We Have More Exciting News About the Return of Project Runway ... and It Involves $250,000
When the fashion series returns to Bravo, the stakes will be higher than ever.
When Project Runway returns home to Bravo, budding fashion designers will be vying for the shot to win $250,000, the largest cash prize in series history. That should really give them a pretty major incentive to make it work.
And, here's your chance to try and win the prize and all those bragging rights: Bravo and Emmy Award-winning production company Magical Elves are kicking off the casting search for Season 17 of Project Runway and the search is on for designers from all walks of life and style. Interested applicants can apply directly at projectrunwaycasting.castingcrane.com, email projectrunwaycasting@magicalelves.com, or tag @magicalelvesprojectrunway.
As reported earlier this month, the series will premiere in 2019 and pre-production on Season 17 is already underway. The news of its return to Bravo first made waves back in May when it was announced by Andy Cohen during NBCUniversal's Upfront presentation in New York. Project Runway aired on Bravo for Seasons 1 through 5 from 2004 to 2008 with host and judge Heidi Klum, judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, and mentor Tim Gunn, at the wheel.
"We are beyond excited to reboot Project Runway at the network where it all began. Leaning into the creative process in an entertaining way has always been part of Bravo's DNA, and Project Runway perfectly captures that," Frances Berwick, President Lifestyle Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, said in a statement at the time. "This franchise will be an important cornerstone to complement Bravo's original premium scripted and unscripted slate, and we expect it to drive the same level of fan-dom and passion as we experienced last time it was on Bravo."
