Proud Mom Jacqueline Laurita Shows Off Her Son's School Portrait
The #RHONJ mom shares an update on her autistic son, Nicholas.
They grow up so fast, don't they? And being the proud mom of three that she is, Real Housewives of New Jersey mom Jacqueline Laurita has taken to Instagram to show off her son Nicholas' school portrait.
It's been a busy fall for the Lauritas, who have managed to get in some very seasonal activities, like heading out to the corn maze — which, judging from the after photo, Nicholas really enjoyed.
Jacqueline has always been open about her role as a mother, specifically discussing what it's like to raise an autistic child like six-year-old Nicholas, who was diagnosed with the neurodevelopmental disorder at a young age. "I like to say that children with Autism are like snowflakes," she wrote in a blog post on her site earlier this year. "Even though they are labeled the same, each one is beautiful and bright, but different and unique. Each one is structured differently. It is our job as parents to get to know our child and to pay attention to what is working or not working for them."
