Shereé Whitfield’s Father Has Passed Away and the RHOA Family Is Showing Support
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member was met with an outpouring of support after sharing the news.
Shereé Whitfield shared a heartbreaking piece of news with fans on Wednesday, March 8: Her father has passed away.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member took to Instagram to make the announcement and pay tribute to her late loved one. She posted photos both old and new, as well as a video from his memorial service.
“Sorry boos, I been MIA due to the passing of my dad. So thankful for all the text[s], cards, flowers, etc,” Shereé wrote. “My family and I really appreciate everyone who reached out. Always remember to cherish your family and friends.”
In the caption, she also included hashtags that read “RIP Dad,” “family,” and “Cleveland born and raised.”
After Shereé made the post, the comments section was quickly flooded with messages of support as her fellow Bravolebrities and fans alike sent their condolences.
“Awe so sorry babe,” Kenya Moore wrote. “Sending you love and prayers to you [and] your family.”
RHOA alum Porsha Williams also paid her respects, commenting, “I’m sorry for your loss. Praying for your family.”
Added The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip’s Phaedra Parks, “My sincerest condolences… praying for you peace, strength and renewed joy.”
Cynthia Bailey and her ex-husband Peter Thomas were among those who shared kind words with Shereé, as well as Kandi Burruss Tucker and Sanya Richards-Ross.
Outside of the Atlanta Housewives’ circle came heartfelt messages from The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Mia Thornton, The Real Housewives of New York City’s Eboni K. Williams, Married to Medicine’s Quad Webb, The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge, and many more.
Reacting to the outpouring of love, Shereé later wrote, “I can’t respond to everyone, but I really do appreciate the [love].”
RHOA fans have become acquainted with several of Shereé’s family members over the years, including her mom, Thelma; her kids, Kairo, Kaleigh, and Tierra, and her ex-husband, Bob Whitfield. Viewers last saw Shereé on the Season 14 finale, during which it was revealed that she had a “new boo.” He turned out to be Martell Holt of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, Shereé revealed in a July 2022 interview with TMZ.
“We actually met through a mutual friend. He’s met my friends, he met several people in my family,” Shereé said at the time. “We’ve been just hanging out. I’m enjoying life right now.”
Just this past January, Martell attended Shereé’s 53rd birthday celebration.
