The OC Housewives React to Dr. Jen Armstrong's Husband Ryne Walking Out

The RHOC newcomer doesn't hold back when it comes to the advice she received from the women at Shannon Storms Beador's lunch.

Dr. Jen Armstrong revealed some shocking news about her marriage in the February 16 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The RHOC newcomer shared with her fellow Housewives that, after an emotional discussion with husband Ryne, he had packed up his things and briefly left their home.

Though Ryne ultimately returned, Jen was in a vulnerable state as she attended a lunch with the rest of the group at Shannon Storms Beador's home the next day. The women rallied around Jen, sharing their perspective from their own marriages and offering advice on how the couple can move forward during this difficult time.

Jen and the rest of the OC Housewives opened up more about this moment in The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, which Bravo Insider members have exclusive access to, above.

Emily Simpson, who has shared the highs and lows of her relationship with Shane on RHOC over the years, said that she could relate to what Jen and Ryne were going through. "I mean, Shane and I have been married for 13 years. Trust me, there have been many times when I've left and slammed the door and gotten in my car and drove away. I think that's typical in a marriage with kids and finances and careers and everything," Emily recalled. "With Dr. Jen, like, it was clear that they were having issues in their marriage, but I think it was also important to ascertain is this just, like, he's mad about something? You're just not connecting right now, and he wanted to get away? As opposed to, like, he packed his suitcase and moved out and isn't coming back. So I think it was important to try to get to understand, like, where they were at in their relationship."

Gina Kirschenheiter, who has been open about her divorce on RHOC, said that she didn't feel like Jen and Ryne's relationship was headed that way. "I didn't get the sense that this was the end of their marriage, but like, any time your friend gets into a fight with their husband, it sucks and I felt bad for her," Gina said in the RHOC After Show. "She was upset. Like, you could tell it was bothering her. They're obviously not in a great place right now, and so, I felt bad for her for that."

Though Noella Bergener and Jen haven't always gotten along this season, Noella said in the RHOC After Show that hearing about Jen's marital woes helped bridge the gap between them as she goes through a divorce. "Really, for the first time, I felt really bonded to Jen, you know? I just really wanted to just help her and talk to her, give her everything that I've learned, everything I was experiencing and just really just love on her," Noella shared. "And just be like, OK, all of our silly stuff is just really irrelevant at this point. What can I do to help? And this is what I've learned, and this is what has helped me."

So how did Jen feel about all of the words of wisdom she received from the women, especially from Emily and Noella? Let's just say she appreciated some guidance more than others.
