Shane Keough Reveals His Daughter's Name and How It Pays Tribute to His Sister Kara's Late Son

Shane Keough is officially a dad!
Less than six months after confirming that his wife, Francheska Perez Keough, was pregnant, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Jeana Keough's son announced the arrival of his daughter on Instagram.
Shane Keough Welcomes His First Child
Shane addressed his baby girl directly in the caption of his post, which featured a carousel of photos of the spouses' and their newborn. "They say time flies, but your mother [Francheska] and I counted every one of those (248) days from the morning we found out she was pregnant to the day you were born 10/07/2023 [at] 6:18pm, one week early to the day of your due date," Shane wrote, before revealing that his sister, Kara Keough Bosworth, was in the delivery room as well. "Nothing could have prepared us for the moment when you were laid on your mother's chest after she labored for nearly (12) hours and gave birth to you with nothing more than some counterpressure from me, and Aunty [Kara] during contractions."
"All the nieces and nephews in the world could only prepare us so much for the overwhelming emotions and relief of hearing your first cry and seeing you open your eyes to the sound of your mother's voice," he continued. "We are so lucky to have you here with us, and you are so lucky to have the mother you do and the overwhelming love of family around you..."
Shane Keough's Newborn Daughter's Name, Revealed
Later on in his caption, Shane shared his daughter's name — and it pays tribute to Kara's late son, McCoy Casey Bosworth (Kara is currently pregnant with her fourth child).
"Welcome to the world, McKay Lourdes Keough," he concluded. "A week down and a lifetime still to come with you, baby girl."

A former The Real Housewives of Orange County kid is about to have a kid of his own! Shane Keough, the son of RHOC alum Jeana Keough, made an adorable Instagram announcement on April 16. And with Shane’s post, it’s official: He’s going to become a dad, and Jeana is going to become a grandma… again!
Jeana’s daughter, Kara Keough Bosworth, is already a mama. Kara’s baby boy Vaughn was born in 2021, a year after she tragically lost her second child, son McCoy, a few days after his birth in April 2020. Kara and her husband, Kyle Bosworth, are also parents to an adorable little girl named Decker.
“She’s a warrior, man,” Shane once said of Kara on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “Seeing her little boy, seeing the joy that he’s bringing to the family and so many moms around the world who have suffered a loss like that, it’s inspiring beyond belief.”

Kara will no doubt be a brilliant aunt to Shane’s baby, who’s due to arrive in October. In his announcement, the baseball pro shared a picture of a onesie that read “Baby Keough.” The wee outfit was decorated with white flowers, and Shane also shared a couple of photos from his wife Francheska Perez’s sonogram.
In the next slides, Shane showed himself and Francheska cuddled up on a blanket, smiling at the sonogram images and cuddling their dog. In the caption, Shane wrote: “Keough family grows by one October 2023.”
Shane Keough and Francheska Perez’s Relationship History
After being engaged for two months, Shane and Francheska tied the knot in Florida last December. The couple had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony that saw them exchanging vows beneath a weeping willow tree at the Congaree and Penn farm in Jacksonville. Francheska looked stunning in a white halter-top gown with a matching veil, while Shane made a dashing groom in his spiffy tuxedo.
The intimate event was for family only. Shane’s two younger siblings, Kara and Colton Keough, were in attendance, and one of them played a major role in the wedding. Kara was the officiant!
Shane announced his engagement in September 2022. “Best birthday present ever! I can’t wait for [Francheska] to be Mrs. Keough,” he captioned a stunning Instagram post, which included a carousel of five images showcasing the romantic proposal.
“I am so happy we got to share this moment with our families. A perfect gift. I love you, future wife. 2023 here we come!”
