Here’s What Shannon Storms Beador Is Up to After Her Split from John Janssen
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member shared a life update after recently confirming that she and her longtime boyfriend are no longer together.
Shannon Storms Beador isn’t letting her recent breakup from John Janssen get her down. Instead, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member is already “back to the grind,” as she put it in an Instagram Story shared on Tuesday, January 17.
Posing alongside Dr. Tim Ramirez of Pacifica Wellness, Shannon wrote, “No excuses!” and added a fist emoji.
The life update comes one week after Shannon confirmed that John broke up with her toward the end of 2022. In an interview with People, she admitted she “was blindsided by the breakup,” as she thought they “were in a great place.”
Things changed over the course of a week, though. “He told me he was done with the relationship,” Shannon recalled. “And to hear what he said to me then was absolutely devastating.”
“I’ve never loved anyone more in my life,” Shannon added. “I was hopeful this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work out. I’ve never loved anyone like I’ve loved John. But clearly, he didn’t feel the same way.”
Adding to the confusion was the fact that John had apparently said he was ready to take their relationship to “the next level,” Shannon explained on Jeff Lewis Live. “I got teary-eyed with the words that he was saying and I thought, ‘God, we are gonna get there.' I just thought whatever the next step is, we’re gonna take it. I remember tearing up and I remember saying very kind things to him.”
Unfortunately, the breakup came less than a week later, Shannon said.
John, for his part, also spoke to People and explained that the breakup was a “super hard” decision for him to make.
“I’ve been in pain over it. It’s sad because I love Shannon very much,” John said. “I have loved her more deeply than any woman in my life. She’s one of a kind; so funny and generous and full of life and adventurous. We have a connection that’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. And I know that for as long as I live, I’ll never meet anyone like her again. But that doesn’t mean we’re right for each other for the rest of our lives.”
He continued, “The last thing I wanted to do is hurt Shannon, but I do think I did the right thing for the both of us. We’re two people who love each other very much, but love is not always enough. And while I know Shannon sees it as I’ve said things to her I never meant, I hope she’ll be able to see that there’s no bad person here. It’s two really good people who couldn’t make it work.”
