Does Andy Cohen Think the Giudices and Gorgas Can Make Amends? He Says…

After teasing that the RHONJ Season 13 reunion is “especially brutal,” Andy weighed in on the family feud.

By Shannon Raphael

Andy Cohen has shared The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion stage with sisters-in-law Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga for 11 straight seasons, and though the two have had their fair share of differences over the years, he said that something felt different when they sat down to film the Season 13 gathering.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

“I’ve got to tell you, the level — I won’t even say vitriol, I will just say hate — between Teresa and Melissa, it’s… I mean, the gloves are off. I’ve never seen anything like it,” he said during the April 24 episode of his Radio Andy series for SiriusXM about bringing the family members together for the reunion taping. “And the way the two of them were going back and forth, it was that thing of neither wanted the other to have the last word in any petty fight.”

Teresa and Melissa have repeatedly clashed since the latter cast member joined RHONJ in Season 3, but their issues came to a head during filming for Season 13. After disagreeing with Teresa all season, Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, decided not to attend her August wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas. The two families have been divided ever since.

Andy referred to the upcoming Season 13 gathering as “very compelling television,” and he teased more of what fans can expect to see from it during the May 3 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“That was especially brutal, I would say,” Andy said on WWHL about how the RHONJ Season 13 reunion taping compared to those in the past. “It was long, it was very intense. We didn’t wrap until after 9 o’clock. It was a rough one. A lot of yelling, a lot of cursing, a lot of hatred.”

As a result, he “almost walked off” the set because he was “so annoyed” by all the arguing. Though he didn’t exit the stage early, he did come to a surprising conclusion about the future of the Gorgas and the Giudices.

Teresa Giudice's Speech Leaves Melissa Gorga in Unhappy Tears

“I don’t think it’s gonna happen,” Andy revealed about whether he believes there’s “any hope that Teresa and the Gorgas can make amends.”

Time will tell whether or not the family members can come together again. For now, tune in to RHONJ Season 13 to see how the wedding drama all goes down.
