Dina Manzo's Cat Grandma Wrinkles Has Passed Away: “We Lost a Little Legend"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum mourns the loss of her beloved pet in a touching tribute. Andy Cohen also remembered the feline.
Dina Manzo is mourning the loss of her beloved cat, Grandma Wrinkles. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum recently took to Instagram to share the sad news, and to pay tribute to her 15-year-old cat, who passed away on Tuesday, March 22.
"We lost a Little Legend yesterday…and I lost another huge chunk of my heart," Dina wrote in the caption of her March 23 post, which featured a collection of sweet photos and heartwarming moments with Grandma Wrinkles. "God bless your beautiful sweet soul my Grandma Wrinkles. Your ancient wisdom and loving purrs will forever be a part of me."
Dina went on to express her love for Grandma Wrinkles, and concluded her touching tribute by writing, "Her transition was peaceful and painless, but still so deeply brutal for me. I must have kissed her wrinkled little head ten million times and it still wasn’t enough. Please say a prayer her bonded sister, Ladybug, adjusts to life without her stinky, needy best friend. I can’t wait to see you in my dreams Gramella. Give Gracie and Botox kisses for us. I know they were waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Rest [and play] easy now Gram Gram, and know you are so incredibly loved."
In addition to her emotional tribute, Dina also shared several loving memories of her beloved cat in her Instagram Stories, including one that her daughter, Lexi Ioannou, posted with Grandma Wrinkles.
Following the sad news, Andy Cohen also paid homage to Grandma Wrinkles, who was a staple in early seasons of RHONJ, a legendary guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and, as fans may remember, was married in the Bravo Clubhouse — with none other than Andy as the honorary officiant — to Lisa Vanderpump's dog, Giggy, who sadly passed away in December 2020.
That special moment has remained one of the WWHL host's favorite Clubhouse memories, as Andy recalled in a touching tribute to Grandma Wrinkles, who received his Mazel of the Day on the March 23 episode of WWHL.
"When we first met Grandma Wrinkles on Season 1 of Jersey Housewives, Dina said she looked just like our grandmother," said Andy in the WWHL clip, below. He went on to add, "She tanned and she smoked too much, she had these big blue eyes, and she was all wrinkled — like Grandma Wrinkles. One of my all-time favorite Clubhouse memories was during our New Year's show in 2011. Before I was getting drunk on CNN, I did it on Bravo once, and I officiated the wedding between Grandma Wrinkles and Giggy, surrounded by Bravo's best and brightest."
Andy went on to mention that the paws-itively adorable wedding between Grandma Wrinkles and Giggy was "the highest rated moment" in the New Year's special, and expressed how much he'd miss the iconic cat. "We'll miss you Grandma Wrinkles. I know you and your husband, Giggy, are smiling down on us from Bravo pet heaven. Rest in peace."
