Dolores Says You’ll “See a Side of Teresa You’ve Never Seen” on Ireland Trip

The RHONJ cast member also admitted she has “anxiety” about the upcoming reunion.

The ladies of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are headed to Ireland later this season, and while the trip was meant to be a break from all the Garden State drama, Dolores Catania said it ended up being quite “emotional.”

How to Watch

“The fights are so bad that I said, ‘I went to Ireland and it was different — everything was beautiful and clean and fresh and green.’ And no matter what, I think we needed a breath of fresh air, and my experience with Ireland, I wanted to share with them,” she explained on a recent episode of the Pay Attention Puh-Lease! podcast. “I was really trying to get everybody to calm down.”

This was especially the case because Teresa Giudice’s wedding was “getting closer,” Dolores added. “Things [were] still heated. Fights [were] still going on. New dynamics in the group. So I suggested an international trip, which we haven’t had since before COVID.”

Teasing what’s to come on RHONJ after the ladies touch down in Dublin — which the midseason trailer also previewed — Dolores said fans can expect to “see a lot of emotions.”

“There’s one scene that’s very emotional there, and you’ll see a side of Teresa you’ve never seen,” she revealed. “But we also had fun. It was different just to be in foreign grounds.”

Part of the fun included an impromptu bachelorette party for Teresa, Dolores said. The celebration was so fun, in fact, that she thinks viewers are going to flock to Dublin as it’s sure to become “the new bachelorette party haven.”

When it comes to the reason she chose Dublin as the group’s destination, that decision can be attributed to her Irish boyfriend, Paul “Paulie” Connell. He already made his RHONJ debut earlier this season, but Dolores teased that fans will also get to meet his mom, “who is very funny.”

Reflecting on the trip himself, Paulie said, “It was cool to hear a lot of people from Ireland who said they got the opportunity to see them. They met with them, they walked behind them, they were like, ‘Hey, this is great, they’re in our city!’ It’s just great for the exposure, as well. It was really cool.”
