We Have a Major Update on Karen Huger’s Marriage to Ray Following Their Vow Renewal

As you might recall, Karen Huger and Ray Huger walked down the aisle (again) during Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Potomac. The event was truly romantic and magical, and every detail paid homage to the couple's relationship of nearly three decades.

Now fans might be wondering what happened after they said "I do" for a second time. Well, Mrs. Huger is spilling all about life after the vow renewal in a recent exclusive interview with Bravo Insider. "We're on a different level now. We are at a totally different level after the vow renewal. People were asking me, 'Oh, Karen, are you worried about the curse of [the] vow renewal?' Oh my god! They didn't tell [me] — I mean, what if it works out and you make it through the curse?" she shared. "And we made it through the curse. We're still married. Our life, Lord Jesus, when does it stop? That's what I'm wondering. And it's funny. And it keeps us so closely bound to one another. He is my best friend. He's my rock. And he is my inspiration too."

Karen's sweet words for her longtime partner didn't end there: "And he does it well for 75, yes. I hope he doesn't mind me telling the world. Thank you. But yeah, he does it well. I'm like, 'I want to do it like Ray when I get to that point.' I want to be that sharp mentally, physically, and spiritually. He's just together. He is my idol. Oh, I'm like, 'Go ahead, rock star.'"

As she mentions on RHOP: Karen's Grande Dame Reunion, Karen was very briefly married before, but her heart really belongs to Ray, even as she touches on that subject when speaking to Bravo Insider. "I only focus on the future … I'm just in a great place. And, you know, no anger there. I'm so happy he and I were together. We have [my son] Brandon. I am so grateful for that," she said of her ex-husband. "But that is my past. And Ray is my future. And my present. So we'll focus on Mr. Huger."

And while Karen has given Ray the important titles of "idol," "future," and "present," she knows exactly who she is to her longtime partner. "I'm just his heartbeat. I am his heartbeat. Ray loves me a lot. And I know that. And that helps me do what it is that I do. I'm so booked and busy and crazy. You know? With very limited time. But he always supports me. So I know he's very proud of me," Karen said. "I'm one of his heartbeats."
