Where the RHOP Cast Stands in Their Friendships Ahead of Season 8

It's officially fall, so it's time to don your best sweater, cozy up, and get ready to say "not today, neck" with a brand new season of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
The eighth season of RHOP is set to premiere this November, and cast members Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Dr. Wendy Osefo, and Mia Thornton are all returning. Charisse Jackson Jordan will be back as a friend, as will newbie Keiarana Stewart.
The ladies are joined by newcomer Nneka Ihim, an attorney and alcoholic beverage company founder. While fans will be getting to know Nneka for the first time when Season 8 premieres, they may also be looking for a refresher on where things stand with the rest of the Potomac crew.
Where the RHOP Season 8 Cast Stands in Their Friendships and Relationships
Gizelle Bryant
Love is potentially in the air for Gizelle again on Season 8, as she's struck up a romance with Winter House alum Jason Cameron. The model is 16 years younger than Gizelle, so their relationship has become more of a situationship, which could be just what she needs as she prepares to send her eldest daughter, Grace, off to college.
When it comes to her friendships with the other ladies, Gizelle is in new territory. Her usually strong bond with Robyn has faced some challenges as Gizelle questions those rumors about Juan Dixon. In another twist, Gizelle has found herself in a "good place" with none other than the Grand Dame herself, Karen Huger.
Karen Huger
When Karen faces some health issues while approaching her "triple" twenty milestone aka her 60th birthday, she decides to make some lifestyle changes. Along the way, she also takes on a renovation project when she makes plans to restore her grandmother's home in order to turn it into a guest house/lodge.
After years of not getting along, Karen grows closer to Gizelle in Season 8, though she also ends up clashing with her close pal, Mia. She's also not happy that Robyn kept certain details about Juan from the group last year.
Ashley Darby
After spending much of Season 7 looking for her first post-split home, Ashley has officially settled into her new house with sons Dean and Dylan. However, it remains unclear to the other ladies whether Ashley is actually getting divorced or not.
As she navigates her journey as a single mom, Ashley is thinking more about her financial future.
Robyn Dixon
Following their intimate wedding, Robyn and Juan are still happily together as they navigate the infidelity rumors surrounding the former NBA player.
Robyn is standing by Juan's side, but the rest of the ladies are vocal about sharing their opinions on the matter.
Candiace Dillard Bassett
Promoting her Deep Space Deluxe album has proved to be taxing on Candiace's finances, and on her marriage to Chris Bassett.
As she plots her next move, Candiace finds out something new about her health. She's also not in the best place with Robyn, Gizelle, or Ashley.
Dr. Wendy Osefo
Instead of creating a Nigerian restaurant concept with Peter Thomas, Dr. Wendy is looking ahead to another business endeavor on Season 8. According to a press release for the season, "it will combine her interests in politics, mental health, and good gossip."
As for her friendships, the PhD holder isn't on the best terms with Robyn or Gizelle, and she doesn't immediately connect with new addition Nneka either.
Mia Thornton
After facing business issues with The Joint chiropractor, Mia and Gordon are not in a good place in their marriage. Mia has looked into getting a divorce attorney, but she's choosing to go to couples therapy first.
She's also trying to get back to a better place with Karen, but rumors get in the way.
Nneka Ihim
The RHOP new addition is a first-generation Nigerian American. Nneka and her surgeon husband, Dr. Ikenna Ihim, just bought a home in the Potomac area that is in the process of getting renovated.
The attorney and alcoholic beverage founder wants to form friendships with the other ladies, but she doesn't get off to the best start with Wendy when "family secrets are uncovered."
