Whitney Rose Reveals What You Didn’t See After Lisa Barlow’s Hot Mic Moment
As revealed on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show, there may be more to the story of Lisa and Meredith’s feud.
Lisa Barlow’s hot mic moment from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 2 continues to be a topic of conversation both on and off the show.
The latest discourse on the matter came during The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show when Meredith Marks — who was the subject of Lisa’s long-winded rant — began to explain why she and her former friend remain on bad terms even though Lisa has repeatedly apologized.
“All I’ve heard about it is how many times she’s apologized,” Meredith said. “But talk to any therapist — an apology coupled with excuses is not an apology.”
As such, she’s not ready to forgive or forget — at least not publicly, according to Whitney Rose. As she recalled on the RHOSLC After Show, “When we wrapped the Season 2 reunion, we all went out to SUR together, and Meredith said to Lisa, ‘Your hot mic moment made you more of a star. You should’ve been hated for it, but it became iconic.’”
Whitney also accused Meredith of selling “swag” that displays Lisa’s insults from the rant. “Clearly, Meredith is OK with it,” she said. “She’s just punishing Lisa.”
To further her argument, Whitney pointed out that she was previously on Meredith’s side. “Trust me, when Lisa had her hot mic moment, I was jumping up and down on my bed,” Whitney said on the RHOSLC After Show. “I was like, ‘Finally! The world gets to see Lisa,’ because at that point in time, I felt a certain way about Lisa. But now that I have the full story and I’ve experienced all the ladies differently, Lisa deserves forgiveness for that.”
