Whitney Rose and Meredith Marks’ Friendship Drama
Though Meredith was under the impression that she left the RHOSLC Season 3 reunion in a “neutral, peaceful zone” with Whitney, things changed for her when she found out that the skincare creator was publicly talking about her hygiene habits.
“[Whitney’s] really gotten under my skin,” Meredith says to Heather Gay while the two are chatting at the latter cast member’s house. “She’s in the press, and she says this whole thing about how Seth and I taking a bath is creepy and, like, filled with bacteria or DNA or whatever.”
At a group brunch later in the premiere, Meredith confronts Whitney about the comment.
“That was a funny joke, Meredith,” Whitney says in defense of what she said, but Meredith doesn’t exactly agree.
“No, it was a dig on my marriage and a dig on my bathtub,” Meredith adds. “It’s not like I have a dirty house… My bathtub is clean. Maybe yours isn’t.”
Whitney then notes that she “take[s] baths all the time” but likes to be “alone” when she does. She claims that her original comment was just meant to be a “shady joke.”
“It is my right to prefer to take a bathtub alone,” Whitney adds in an interview on the episode. “It wasn’t about her and Seth. It’s about the fact that they sit in a tub to clean. Like, that is creepy to me.”
In her own confessional, Meredith explains why the bathtub drama is really bothering her.
“It really irritates me that Whitney can be like, ‘Oh, I was just being shady,’” Meredith says. “So now you can take whatever you want [and] twist it to benefit you so you don’t have to take accountability. OK, got it.”
Viewers will have to tune in to find out if Whitney and Meredith will be able to resolve their issues, or if the drama has muddied the waters between the two for good.
