That Boxer Madonna Has Been Hanging Out with May Look Familiar to Summer House Fans

Madonna is getting “into the groove” by spending time at a boxing gym with a familiar face from Summer House Season 7.

The Grammy-winning singer, who reportedly ended her relationship with 23-year-old model/skateboarder Andrew Darnell earlier in February, has been hanging out with Josh Popper.

Josh is a boxing coach, and he’s the founder of Bredwinners, a gym in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan. 

The 29-year-old confirmed his hangout with the 64-year-old songstress by posting a carousel of photos from a different boxing studio in Brooklyn on his Instagram grid on February 12.

“Another W for the books‼️ I wanna thank my coaches, my team, and my Bredwinners family for pushing me to be my best in and out of the ring,” he captioned his post. “I got some good people by my side.”

While the photos of Madonna and Josh sparked speculation that the two were romantically involved, a source told Page Six that the boxer is coaching the “Like a Prayer” singer’s 17-year-old son, David, for an upcoming charity match. Neither Josh nor Madonna has publicly commented on the romance rumors.

Before Josh posted about his hangout with Madonna, he piqued the romantic interest of Summer House Season 7 addition Samantha Feher. The entrepreneur went to Josh’s gym on Episode 2, and she invited him to spend time at the Hamptons share house after she felt a romantic spark with him during their training session.

The former NFL player popped up on the show again in Episode 3, when he met the crew out at a bar after the ladies had a tea party. After Samantha and Josh bonded over boxing, the trainer stayed over at the house. However, Samantha soon realized that nothing romantic would ever happen between them when he didn’t join her to dance on top of the kitchen table.

“I’m looking for the guy who will jump up on the counter and dance with me, not the guy who’s gonna watch,” Samantha said in a confessional about Josh. “That’s it for me.”

Samantha and Josh didn’t move forward with their flirtation, and now the boxer is interacting with Madonna.
