However, one very important member of MJ's family won't be there to share in all of the happy moments ahead. Her father, Shams Javid, passed away earlier this year. MJ will open up more about her father's passing in the upcoming season of Shahs of Sunset.

MJ opened up about how she and her family are doing in the months following this loss during an interview with The Daily Dish in New York City on Tuesday. "It's a very difficult question to answer emotionally or to articulate. I'm sure that a part of me has died and will never be back," she shared. "My only hope is that he's on his way to reincarnate himself as one of my children. So that's what I'm going with."

But there has been a silver lining for the Javid family amid all of this tragedy. MJ said that her mom, Vida, who has not always had the most warm-and-fuzzy relationship with her daughter, as Shahs of Sunset fans have seen over the years, has been particularly affected by Shams' death (Vida and Shams divorced when MJ was a kid). "My mom, she has become a little more nurturing. I think because she also suffered the loss of him and wasn't expecting it. So now that it's happened, I think that she's much nicer," MJ explained. "I think that she's taking the role of what he provided as well. She provided the torture, and he provided the love, so now she's trying to do what he used to do."

MJ has continued to pay tribute to her father with touching messages on Instagram. In one post, she reflected on all of the important lessons her father taught her while he was alive. "My best friend. My poppa and I were together every single day from the day I was born. I love you, daddy," MJ wrote. "Thank you for teaching me everything that’s important. Thank you for teaching me to be tough. Thank you for teaching me to always be kind to strangers. Until we meet again."
