Shannon Storms Beador is getting more candid than ever about her relationship with John Janssen on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17’s upcoming Episode 14.

What’s in Shannon Storms Beador’s “Vault” About John Janssen
Shannon has referenced the metaphorical “vault” in which she asks her friends to keep her secrets several times throughout RHOC Season 17, and it seems as though she’s finally prepared to unlock it. As Jennifer Pedranti asks Shannon in the above sneak peek, “Do I finally get to hear what the f-ck is in the vault?”
The answer? “It’s normal relationship stuff,” Shannon begins. “I’ll be honest with you guys, the biggest thing for me is that when we first met, we spent every day together. But now, a lot of times, there’s an excuse — ‘I gotta go; I can’t stay’ — so that’s what hurts me.”
After Taylor Armstrong acknowledges that John’s behavior probably makes her “feel abandoned,” Shannon agrees, adding, “’Cause I have those issues from my childhood. That’s the worst thing, like, ‘Oh, you’re walking out on me? We had an argument — let’s talk through it and get through it.’ So that’s the hardest thing.”
Why Shannon Storms Beador Is Finally Opening Up About Her and John Janssen’s Troubles
In a confessional interview, Shannon explains, “These women all think that much greater issues are going on in my relationship. I’ve been thinking about it and it’s clearly causing me anxiety, so I’m willing to open up and set the record straight. If John goes home, that’s not fun. But in the scheme of life, it’s not that big of a deal.”
The fact remains, though, that John doesn’t believe they should “talk about [their] relationship” with others, as Emily Simpson points out. Shannon, however, reveals she recently called him out on that.
“He goes, ‘Well, you know that we don’t talk about relationships.’ I go, ‘That’s your rule, it’s not mine.’ I said that to him,” Shannon recalls.
Emily’s thoughts on the matter are still complicated, though. “I think it’s great Shannon is finally opening up about her relationship with John. However, I feel like this is really just the tip of the iceberg,” she says in a confessional interview. “There’s so much more. It goes a lot deeper. But I don’t know, maybe this is a good start.”
