Shannon Storms Beador's Daughter Sophie Is Officially a College Graduate
The RHOC mom called her daughter's achievement "the best Mother’s Day gift."
It was an extra special Mother’s Day for Shannon Storms Beador.
In addition to receiving heartwarming messages from her children, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom also got to watch her oldest daughter, Sophie Beador, graduate from college. Shannon celebrated the milestone in a series of Instagram photos that showed a smiling Sophie in her Baylor University cap and gown.
“Many more pictures to come!” Shannon captioned a May 12 post. “So proud of [Sophie Beador]! The best Mother’s Day gift to watch my first born graduate from college! I am beyond excited to see where life takes her! Get ready NYC… Sophie’s coming!”

Sophie announced she was headed to BU in 2019, the same year Shannon finalized her divorce from David Beador. The couple married in 2000 and went on to welcome three children together: Sophie and their now-19-year-old twin daughters, Stella and Adeline Beador.

In the hours following her graduation, Sophie returned to Instagram to post a sweet photo of her and her mom posing on the BU campus.
“Happy Mother’s Day!” the college grad captioned the Story. “Couldn’t have done it without you.”

While pursuing her Sports Sales Leadership and Management degree, Sophie began dating her current boyfriend, Reese Perry. Shannon touched on the relationship in the RHOC Season 17 premiere (2023), saying the two had been together for “a little over a year" and had already discussed tying the knot.
“They do talk about marriage, but they’re at a school where that happens,” Shannon told her castmate Emily Simpson.
“It’s a religious school, right?” Emily asked about the Waco, Texas, university. “They get engaged young, too, and get married young. It’s that whole premarital sex thing.”
Shannon also shared her thoughts on Reese during the RHOC Season 16 reunion, confirming Sophie was dating a “great kid” who treated her with “nothing but kindness and respect.”
As indicated on Instagram, Sophie and Reese are still going strong.

So, what’s next for Shannon and her girls? Well, after Sophie walked across the commencement stage, the OC mom posted another Story that showed her and Adeline embarking on an adventure: “Mother’s Day road trip...” she captioned the photo. “See you soon Austin!”
Adeline is enrolled at the Parsons School of Design in New York City, while Stella attends Shannon’s alma mater, the University of Southern California. The latter, however, spent her freshman year in Paris, France, as part of the USC Trojan Transfer program.
Shannon reflected on her daughters’ new journeys in an emotional 2023 Instagram post: “I am so excited to watch my girls move on to the next chapter of their lives,” she wrote shortly before Stella and Adeline left home, “but I am definitely going to be shedding a lot of tears in the next week!”
