Patricia Altschul Shares a Photo of Michael Kelcourse and an Update on His Next Chapter
The Southern Charm matriarch also shared if she and son Whitney Sudler-Smith are making plans to reunite with Michael.
Southern Charm's Patricia Altschul has shared a sweet update on how Michael Kelcourse is doing after he recently moved to a new assisted care facility. His move comes about a year after Patricia and son Whitney Sudler-Smith first confirmed that Michael suffered from an acute spinal cord infarction, which is also known as a spinal cord stroke.
"Michael is now ensconced in his beautiful new assisted care facility with great food, great decor, great nurses, and great services all around… but most important, he is in close proximity to his family," Patricia recently posted on Instagram, a few weeks after she first shared the news that he would be moving facilities as he recovers. "I know some of you would like to communicate with Michael, so here is his new address… he might even welcome a visit. Whitney and I are going to drive down this summer."
During a visit with Michael at his previous facility in Atlanta last year, Whitney shared an update on Michael, nothing that he is "a man of indomitable spirit!"
In late February, when Patricia first confirmed the news of Michael's move, she added as he was about to embark on "a new life in Florida," "All best wishes to Michael on this new adventure." At the time, she also added a few sweet hashtags about her longtime right-hand man, who is affectionately known as Michael the Butler, including, "[consummate] professional," "perfect gentleman," "animal lover," and "all around great guy."
Patricia has been caring for Michael's cat amid his recovery, and she often posts updates about how the feline is doing in her home, including the fact that "she has settled right in being in the main house and pays no attention to the dogs."
