We Have a Surprising Update on Austen Kroll and Olivia Flowers' Relationship
The exes had a sit-down on Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 8.
Southern Charm Season 9 has been quite the rollercoaster ride for Austen Kroll and Olivia Flowers, but the drama between the two came to a surprising halt on November 2's Episode 8.
The positive development in Austen and Olivia's relationship was the result of a lengthy, heartfelt conversation they shared while reflecting on recent events, including the tragic passing of Olivia's brother, Conner. Prior to that, the exes had been on bad terms as a result of Taylor Ann Green revealing she and Austen had kissed on one occasion.

Olivia Flowers Reflects on How Supportive Austen Kroll Has Been
Before Olivia and Austen spoke, she revealed in a confessional interview how meaningful his support has been. "Believe it or not, Austen stepped up for me after my brother's funeral," she shared. "He stopped by to drop off some food, so I went outside and talked to him and we hugged and sat in the driveway for a while."
Austen, as Southern Charm fans may recall, has also lost a sibling. As Olivia put it, "Having someone who understands how it feels to lose a sibling come through and be there, it is comforting."
Austen Kroll's Feelings for Olivia Flowers
During their conversation, Austen made a point to express how much he values Olivia's role in his life. "It did come to my attention with talking through it with my therapist that maybe I don't make it clear to certain people in my life just how important that they are to me," he began, before referencing the intense conversation the two had weeks prior, during which Olivia — who had just found out about him kissing Taylor — said she didn't want anything to do with him. "It just made me sad to think you thought that I didn't care about our relationship in kinda any sort of capacity. And I just don't want it to be that way ever again. I just realized how important you are in my life."
Replied Olivia, "I want to be able to trust you and get back there, I just don't know how. There's a mental blockage."
Reflecting on the remark in a confessional, Austen said, "Part of me understands the fact that she doesn't trust me, but at the same time I'm trying to take a mature approach to letting her work out those feelings and being able to continue being friends."
Ultimately, "I am gonna push through her ice wall if it f-cking kills me," Austen declared. Then, back in conversation with Taylor, he told her, "I do love you and I know that I have hurt you, but I just know that you and I are supposed to be in each other's lives."

In response to Austen's declaration, Olivia said, "I want to lean in to everything you're saying, I'm just in a funk a bit."
With that in mind, moving forward, "It'll be nice to just be around each other," she added. "And not day dream how to kill you."
"That's why I'm gonna continue to text you things like movie quotes and things like that," Austen said. "Whatever you need or don't need, I'm gonna keep on bugging you."
Olivia expressed that she "appreciate[d] the direct line of communication" they were practicing, and Austen agreed, noting, "I just want to keep it going."
Her response? "Looking forward to it."
