Leva Bonaparte ain’t afraid of no ghost. In the spirit of Halloween, the Southern Charm cast member convinced her husband, Lamar Bonaparte, to participate in a Ghostbusters-themed family costume. Though she and her son, Lamar Jr., dressed up as the titular proton-pack-toting heroes, the patriarch went a different route, hilariously coordinating as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

After Leva shared the family photo on Instagram — with her camera-shy husband fully hidden by his costume — fellow Southern Charm cast member Naomie Olindo revealed that Lamar might have been pressured into the idea. “Lamar is going to be the marshmallow. He just doesn’t know it yet,” she commented, presumably imitating Leva.

In her Instagram Stories, the Southern Hospitality mom also showcased her “dream Halloween house,” i.e., one covered in fake spiders, while taking her son trick-or-treating. “My husband was rolling his eyes before I even said I want it! I want [to] spider my house,” she captioned a video posted on Monday, October 31.

Of course, most fans didn’t really expect Lamar to pose for a publicly shared photo. Just last month, Leva had to use even sneakier tactics to capture her husband in a few pics from their couple’s trip to New York City. Still, he appeared only partially in several frames, including two elevator mirror selfies. Meanwhile, a video clip showed only Lamar’s hands and feet, as Leva displayed a rose that he presumably bought for her.

Leva previously explained Lamar’s aversion to the spotlight in October 2020. “My husband’s a super private guy. He doesn’t even like taking pictures,” she told Decider when she joined Southern Charm in Season 7. “It definitely is far from his wheelhouse of comfort. But he’s excited for me, and he knows that I was having a great time and that I enjoyed it… So he’s very supportive.”
