Leva Bonaparte Shares a Rare Glimpse of Her Life with Husband Lamar

Leva Bonaparte’s husband, Lamar, might be a bit camera shy, but the Southern Charm cast member recently got him to step into the spotlight. After heading north for New York Fashion Week earlier this month, Leva shared an Instagram montage of their couple’s getaway on September 18, and whether he liked it or not, Lamar made rare appearances in several photos and videos.

He didn’t exactly pose for any formal photos though, appearing only partially in several frames, including two elevator mirror selfies. A video clip showed Lamar’s hands and feet, as Leva displayed a rose that he presumably bought for her. “Just lil bits of my NYC [trip] with the hubs from my Tiktok account!” she captioned the post.

Days earlier, Leva also shared one of the slideshow photos from their “[NYC] night” in a separate Instagram post on September 14. After first commenting that she loved the shot, which showed Leva snapping a mirror selfie while her husband exited the elevator, fellow Southern Charm cast member Olivia Flowers joked that they “had to go all the way to NYC to get in a date night.”

Leva didn’t exactly disagree, replying, “hahhahaha” and adding “truth” as a hashtag.

When another friend asked if Lamar would let him “borrow that jacket,” Leva replied, “I’m about to snatch it myself!” along with a crying-laughing emoji. That’s not to say she didn’t do plenty of shopping outside of her husband’s closet: On September 12, she documented more NYC moments, writing, “Shop till ya drop in NYC.” 

After all, that was one activity that didn’t give her “sensory overload” in the Big Apple. One night earlier, Leva explained in another Instagram caption that they’d gone to a “pretty dinner spot” and were “sitting next to a bunch of real life [movie] stars” when the “introvert” in her came out.

“Crowds and the scene in the big city give you sensory overload and you end up back in bed!” she wrote on September 11, joking about the fact that she and Lamar also own a nightclub. 

As for her husband’s aversion to the spotlight, Leva gave an explanation to Decider in October 2020 after joining the Southern Charm cast in Season 7. “My husband’s a super private guy. He doesn’t even like taking pictures,” she said. “It definitely is far from his wheelhouse of comfort. But he’s excited for me, and he knows that I was having a great time and that I enjoyed it…. So he’s very supportive.”
