Craig shared the good news on Instagram with a series of photos (swipe right) taken at the Supreme Court of South Carolina in the Palmetto State's capital, Columbia. "It’s truly an honor to swear into the S.C. Bar Association. It’s been a long road but after a ton of hard work I’m incredibly proud to finally join the ranks of all the other defenders of the Constitution out there," Craig shared on Instagram, along with "#proudlawyer," "#esquire," "#finally," "#surreal," "#giveback," and "#averyhappyday."
As he mentioned in his Instagram post, the road to becoming a lawyer has been a long one for Craig. After years of his fellow Charmers wondering when Craig would pass the bar and lots of drama surrounding that along the way, he silenced all the haters by finally passing the bar exam in April 2017. "I'm just, I'm so happy for it to be finally be over," Craig told The Daily Dish last May after receiving the results of his bar exam. "It's a huge, huge, huge relief. Obviously I'm excited for my future, but also just for everyone to shut up and leave me alone and let me live my life is something pretty awesome to look forward to."
Craig also previously shared what's next for his law career now that he's officially a lawyer. "It'll most likely be me starting a firm with one or two of my closest friends from school who have their own specialties," he told The Daily Dish. "That'll be down the road a little bit, you know it'll take a few months. At least I get to enjoy it."
We'll catch up more with Craig and the rest of the Southern Charm crew when it returns for Season 5 on Thursday, April 5 at 9/8c. Get your first look at the new season, above.
