Madison LeCroy Opens Up About Her Life with (New Husband!) Brett: “[I’ve] Met [My] Best Friend”
The Southern Charm bride opened up about life at home with Brett and her son, Hudson.
Now that Madison LeCroy and Brett are officially married, Southern Charm fans might be wondering what’s next for her and her new spouse. Well, lucky for you, Madison is spilling all about her new life.
When The Daily Dish spoke with Madison earlier this year, she was still planning the wedding at the time of the interview, but she knew one thing for certain: “All I can tell you is that I 100 percent know I’m with the man that I’m gonna be with for the rest of my life and that’s all I feel confident about.”
She added, “I just want to marry him, I just want to start my family. I’m just excited.”
And she noted that her now-husband brings out another, one might say, softer side of her.
“We’re so excited to see each other. I will say I’m not a huge PDA person, but we are like that couple. I mean, just because it’s like we can’t keep our hands off each other when we are together. I think, I’m like, ‘Hey, stop, we’re going to meet these people, you know what I mean, and I don’t know if they really like each other, we gotta turn it down,’” she said with a laugh. “We have fun. It’s definitely nice to not only feel like you’ve met your best friend but to also have security and feel safe. It’s always been one or the other. I’ve never had both. I know, if anything, he would take care of me, he would take care of [my son] Hudson. I feel safe with him. I know he has my best interest and I know that whatever happens, he’s on my side. I think he puts me before he does himself, and I do the same for him.”
Madison noted that she really was in the right place in her life to welcome Brett into her world. “I’ve never experienced anything [like it] — but I also don’t think that I would appreciate it if I hadn’t experienced what I had in my lifetime. I wouldn’t be as attentive, and I love it so much, and I’m like, ‘Wow, if this would’ve approached me when I was like 21, like no. I would’ve been like, ‘Oh, you’re too nice!’” she joked. “Now, this is like, this is great! Not only is he nice but he’s hot and all of the above.”
He’s also got a great relationship with his new stepson, Hudson, Madison’s son from a previous relationship. And you can bet that Madison really values the bond Brett and Hudson have with each other.
“There’s definitely a level of respect there, and I see Hudson look up to him, as do I. So it’s nice to be able to have just such a good influence on Hudson. I never thought that I would ever — because I feel like him and Hudson’s dad and I have done a good job of raising Hudson and his level of respect,” she said. “But to have another person have an input on that and it actually be accurate and, you know, it’s just, he’s right. You know, a lot of the time some of the things he’s saying from his perspective, I don’t think about. Yes, I’m a little biased. I mean, I’ll be the first one to say my son is spoiled. But he’s spoiled because he deserves it. He makes straight A's and he’s well behaved and he respects me. I do spoil him, but he knows that. So it’s nice to have another person validate and see what I see.”
Madison teased that, yes, she’s hoping to have kids with Brett. “You know, I’m most excited for our future. I know we’re going to have more kids one day. I’m excited about that. I’m just excited to feel successful in this because, you know, in the South you’re raised like life’s about family. You get married very young and you start a family and that’s what life’s about, and I still cling on to that. I still want that,” she revealed earlier this year. “To finally feel like I have that, and I’m really close to growing that, is something to look forward to.”
