Stassi Schroeder Says Fans Got This Wrong About Her in Vanderpump Rules Season 1
“Please tell me what I’ve done to get that label," Stassi Schroeder recently asked.
Stassi Schroeder has changed quite a bit since we first met her in Season 1 of Vanderpump Rules, which is something her boyfriend, Beau Clark, immediately noticed when he watched the very first episode of the series after the two initially met. “As a joke sometimes when she’s bratty, I’m like, ‘OK, you’re being Season 1 Stassi right now,’” Beau said during a recent profile of Stassi and her new book, Next Level Basic, in The New York Times.
However, Stassi said during the same interview that she still doesn't understand how she came off as "the villain" in Season 1 of Vanderpump Rules, especially since her cheating accusations against her boyfriend at the time, Jax Taylor, proved to be right. “It blows my mind when people are like, ‘Stassi’s the villain,’” she told The New York Times. “Please tell me what I’ve done to get that label.”
Still, Stassi has learned in the years since the very first season of Vanderpump Rules to not let what others think about you get in the way of being yourself, advice that she also espouses in Next Level Basic. “I might not be that great at anything specific, but I think I am good at being honest,” Stassi shared. “If you’re trying to pretend to be something that you’re not or if you’re overthinking things, you can see it.”
Stassi has continued to learn a lot about herself as she relives each and every season of Vanderpump Rules, but especially after seeing how she interacted with then-boyfriend Patrick Meagher in Season 6 (the two later broke up in August 2017) and she and Beau began dating. “I feel really accepted, like I can 100 percent be myself and still feel loved," she told The Daily Dish podcast in April 2018. "He’s just so nice to me, he’s so caring and so laid-back and just wants to do good by me.”
