Amanda Batula Does “Feel Bad” About Her Drama with Lindsay Hubbard
The Summer House cast member also shared whether she’s been in contact with Lindsay since her WWHL appearance.
The temperature is usually high when the Summer House crew gets together, but things are still rather icy between Amanda Batula and Lindsay Hubbard.
For fans who may not know (or remember!), Amanda appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen with Paige DeSorbo back in October, while Winter House was airing. Host Andy Cohen asked the twosome which cast member was the “rudest” to fans — and Amanda said that Lindsay “can be,” when she’s “caught off-guard.”
Since then, Lindsay has defended herself by sharing photos from all the Loverboy events she attended and by saying that she interacts with her fans regularly.
Fast-forward about two months after the initial WWHL comments, and Amanda chatted with Us Weekly to discuss where things “stand right now” with Lindsay. The Loverboy creative director confirmed that the two are not on the best of terms (well, they’re not exactly speaking at the moment).
“We don’t stand,” Amanda said. “We haven’t spoken at all.”
Though Amanda was just trying to be “entertaining and fun and silly” when she mentioned Lindsay’s name on the late-night series, she does regret how much the comment upset the Summer House OG.
“It’s hard to think on your toes in that moment of how everything you say might affect people,” Kyle Cooke’s bride continued, before adding that she wouldn’t have said Lindsay was the rudest to fans “if [she] knew that it would have upset and hurt Lindsay as much as it did.”
“I feel bad about that,” she continued. “That wasn’t my intention. I was just trying to, I don’t know, spill the tea, or be shady, or whatever it is.”
Will Lindsay and Amanda be able to get their friendship back on track? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, find out exactly what Amanda said during that fateful WWHL appearance by watching the video above.
