Summer House's Kyle Cooke Has Some Huge News About His Relationship with Amanda Batula

Is the Hamptons housemate finally ready to take his relationship to the next level?

Can Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula Really Last?

As Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula gave a real relationship a go in Season 2 of Summer House, it was unclear if they'd ever be able to take it to the next level and one day get married. Kyle and Amanda's Summer House roommates even seemed skeptical that the two would even last at this season's reunion (clip above).

How to Watch

Watch Summer House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

However, Kyle appears to have majorly changed his tune when it comes to getting serious with Amanda — and yes, even marriage. It seems that watching his brother, Cory Cooke, tie the knot at the end of March has made Kyle realize he's getting ready to settle down, too. "Watching my brother get happily married has given me confidence that I am capable of settling down and committing to someone," Kyle shared on Instagram Sunday. "Every relationship will face challenges, and it’s never been more clear after watching how Amanda has handled the #summerhouse fallout with our 'supportive friends' that she is the most patient, compassionate, and loving person I know. Her ability to see the good in everyone is beyond admirable and I’m proud of her for always taking the high road. But that’s just who she is - sweet and sincere."

He also said he regrets how he responded to Andy Cohen's question about his feelings on marriage at the Summer House reunion last week. "Time will tell what my cast mates learn from this experience, but I’ll offer up the first @bravowwhl reunion-related apology: I’m sorry I didn’t handle @bravoandy’s question about marriage better on the spot!" he wrote. "I love you @amandabatula."

Amanda also seems very sure that she's found someone special in Kyle. "I’m very picky when it comes to the guys I date. I can count on one hand the number of [long-term] relationships I’ve been in and have only told 3 of those people that I loved them because I don’t want to give a piece of my heart to just anyone. And although you may think otherwise, I chose you that night we met," Amanda recently gushed about Kyle on Instagram. "I let you in because I trusted you and saw how big and kind your heart was. I admired you because I saw how you were the life of the party and how so many of the friends I met had nothing but nice things to say about you. I enjoyed dating you because of the weird things we’d get into as essentially complete strangers, our accidental blackout date nights, and at times, your drunken shenanigans that made me laugh and were endless entertainment. I chose you because you chose me too & the only place I’m ever running is straight into your arms (committed to trying to nail that [Dirty Dancing] move so keep hitting the gym)."

Not much had changed in Kyle and Amanda's relationship when The Daily Dish caught up with them prior to this season's reunion. During separate interviews, they explained that they had not yet moved in together, but they will soon decide if they want to take that leap and live together when their leases are up on their New York City apartments this August.

Amanda was optimistic about her future with Kyle when she spoke with The Daily Dish. "We're really strong. There's more conversations about marriage and moving in. And I think the relationship is getting a little bit more serious, and I've made it very clear that [Kyle's] getting old. If I'm not the one, you should probably break up with me because you're wasting your time," she told The Daily Dish. "But we're headed in a really good direction. And like I said, our relationship is stronger than it's been. We've had some really tough fights, but fighting, I think, is important in a relationship because it means you're passionate about something. So we've been able to work things out and figure out things that bother us about each other or how to have conversations in a way that won't transpire into an argument."
