Here’s What Samantha Has to Say About Boyfriend Kory’s Winter House Romance with Jessica

Summer House’s Samantha Feher may have just revealed that she and Winter House cast member Kory Keefer are officially a couple, but it turns out their relationship dates back quite a bit.

In fact, the two got together around the time Winter House Season 2 premiered — meaning that just as they were growing closer IRL, Kory and Jessica Stocker were doing the same on the show (which had obviously been filmed months prior). “We started dating when, like, the Jess stuff was going on TV,” Samantha recently told ET, explaining that they were keeping their own relationship under wraps at the time. “We have dated through rumors about him hooking up with other people online, and I’ve just kind of, like, sat it out, had to, like, wait my turn. So it’s nice to kind of finally be like, yeah, it’s been — it’s me! It’s been me. I’m here.”

She reflected on one particularly difficult experience when she accompanied Kory and his longtime BFF Craig Conover to a taping of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where Kory had to discuss his past fling with Jessica at length. “I will say, to everybody’s credit, like Andy, Craig, Kory — all of them — in between takes of that episode, came up to me and they were like, ‘You’re such a good sport.’ Like, ‘This is probably really hard to watch and listen to,’” Samantha recalled. 

She’s not focusing on the past, though. “At the end of the day, everybody has exes. Like, everybody’s got those relationships,” Samantha said, noting that she’s now looking forward to watching her own romance with Kory play out this season on Summer House. “It really is special for me to relive those moments.”

Kory is sure to do the same, but the pair won’t always be watching together. Why? Like Craig and Paige DeSorbo, Samantha and Kory are currently in a long-distance relationship since she lives in New York, while he calls North Carolina home.

“One of the things that is captured in a recent episode of Summer House that Paige says is, she says to Craig, ‘We make the rules,’” Samantha recalled. “Like, we don’t have to follow anyone else’s map on how to do this, how to navigate this thing, and I think Kory and I are a lot like that.”

Plus, this isn’t Samantha’s first rodeo. “I've done long distance before, and I will say till the day I die, I never thought I would be in another long-distance relationship,” she added, “but it took meeting Kory for me to understand that the reason that prior relationship didn’t work out was not because of the distance, it was because of the guy. And so, when you’re with the right person, it doesn’t feel hard.”

Samantha and Kory have “not had a single problem with it,” she concluded. “It has been nice, I think, to start this relationship, maintaining our own independence as people, and not having to kind of change our lives that much. It’s hard to miss him sometimes, but it really does make every time we spend, that time together [is] so much more valuable and special.”
